My name is Dani.

I used to spend a lot of time recording songs, and writing strange music that I could get lost in. It was a creative outlet and a passion.

Recently I've sort of left it all behind. I come up with ideas for songs now and then, but generally I forget them before they become anything.

​

For whatever reason, I've found myself wanting to get my songs and musical ideas out there again.

These days, I don't have time to record them properly and make them sound all slick-

 ...so I've decided to impose strict limitations.

​

Just me, at my kitchen table, with a guitar, my iphone SE and my songs. I've got a basic 4-track recorder app on my phone, a pair of headphones and nothing else. 

​

The built-in microphone is obviously rubbish, so everything sounds terrible. You'll also occasionally hear my boiler having a coughing fit, or my fridge struggling to continue being cold. I'm hoping that, like listening to early phonograph recordings, it might develop a wonky charm of its own.

Now the rules are set, whenever I feel I've got a song worth sharing, I'll stick it up here for you to umm, enjoy.
